it has been a while

life's a warm fuzzy wonderland because of him
everyday's a whirl of euphoria, happiness and satisfaction
thoughts of him brings lill smiles and tiny flutters of the heart
and there's nowhere i'd rather be, when i'm by his side

please don't let me wake up one day, and find it just a beautiful dream
because once in a while the past creeps back and haunts me
i'm reminded of the pain the tears and the heartbreaks
all those promises, all those lies
the scars remain, reminding me how all things shiny and pretty
seem to fade with time for others

i want to keep eternity, and hold hands till we are 80
can i take the leap of faith, for i have found him
can he hold true to his words, to me, for a lifetime
i am afraid, so i doubt
it is evil, and it hurts him
that, tears me

i cant seem to uproot the doubt totally for now
