out of the blue

This blog was pretty much dead since mid-sem break. Haha. Got chided by ch and gj yesterday for not updating so i'm back, alive and kicking :)

Hit Wala Wala last night with the dudes. Enjoyed Mr Moustache strums and zangs and watever not immensely. Not quite impressed with the bassist, well actually it was a pain to look at him. Am rather disturbed by his habit of rolling his eyes back when he gets/pretends to be high and absorbed in his playing. You'll pretty much just see his whites blinking back at you (like he is in a trance/possessed). Shudders. We had a good laugh though. The lead singer had a good voice, though it always has a happy note to it..which is really really weird when singing to emo heartwrenching songs. Looking forward to hearing him belt chinese numbers at Dragonfly though. Nothing much on the drummer, apart from he is my brother's friend lol.

So that was yesterday..btw, if I have failed to mention/forgot to inform/you haven't yet figure out, I'm BACK in humid ol' Singapore :) Been back for a month odd already. Apart from the weather and the massive number of people around in malls, it has been gold :) Been eating local food like a savage plus loads of sinful desserts and what not ;) Shopping was hell with all the people around due to the xmas season but I've managed to snag enough to burst my already bursting luggage back to Melbourne 1 month odd before departure. Yikes. That doesn't quite stop me though, I've a soft spot for way too many things haha.

Singapore hasn't changed much apart from the sudden increase in people and cars (I think!). It's awesome to be home with the family and friends :) Loving my newly revamped house with the kbox system and Wii and huge ice dispensing fridge haha. Must be the reason why I've been feeling domesticated since I've been back. Or perhaps it's cuz of the crowds that deters me. Or perhaps I'm getting old already. Turning 24 in 2 days..yoks. Not much thoughts about that, it's just a number for now :) I might start to panic when I turn 27..ask me then.

Been drinking too much beer of late. One a day or one every alternate day (as gj adamantly puts it) does not sit too well with my 'trying to lose the excess bulge gained over winter'. Been eating way too much for that anyways too so Bleah. Food rocks my boat for now :)

Thailand trip with gj and fh was great minus the sweltering heat and getting conned like 70% of the time haha. Quite an experience I would say! The 'pretending to be M'sian', lung killing Tuk Tuk rides, the 'PPP, HS, H etc ' acronyms, running away from Patpong sleazy touters and fierce stall vendors, trying to direct taxi drivers with limited English to our much elusive Take a Nap hotel, chillin out at Khao San with chilli lined cards, lomo and non-lomo shots, Thai cuisines, atas Spring (not Summer)....the list goes on. The dudes felt inspired by the Muay Thai boxers while I fell in love with Petchsiri P. Siripong lol. Respect to all the boxers! Ring-side views rocks! :)

I think I just wrote a mini essay. Did I mention I'm at work? Lol.
